JUNIOR PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Requirements for all 12 and under Quickstart classes, Performance I and II, and High Performance I and II

QUICKSTART REQUIREMENTS – AGES 4-17
Red Ball (4-8 years old)
These players will be able to learn all the skills required to rally with a partner. They will learn how to start a point with underhand toss and overhead serve.
*Before Advancing to Orange Ball
- Needs to be able to send and receive on both sides off the bounce and out of the air
- Can rally consistently 8 balls or more with recovery, balance and moderate technique. Can start a point with an overhead serve. Players can control depth and direction of the ball.
Orange Ball (7 – 11 years old)
These players will develop basic to moderate/advanced rallying skills from the 60 ft. court baseline. They will learn how to start a point with both an underhand and overhead serve.
*Before Advancing to Green Ball
- Students can achieve all movements and rally with balance.
- Can control depth and direction from the baseline.
- Can play all parts of the court including baseline, mid-court and net with moderate technique on: Forehand , Backhand, Serve, Volley
- Can rally 10 balls or more
Green Ball (11-17 years old)
These students will develop basic to moderate/advanced technique and rallying skills on a 78ft. court from the baseline. They will learn how to start a point with an overhead serve and technical fundamentals for mid-court and net play.
*Before Advancing to Performance I
- Students should be able to play a rally starting with proper serve technique and grip.
- They should be able to control direction, depth and spin from the baseline.
- Student should have the ability to play all parts of the court including mid-court and net with proper grips, footwork and fundamentals.
- Can rally 12 balls or more.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Performance II (7 – 11 years old)
- Intermediate to advanced level players from 2nd-5th grade
- Match-play experience in either ALTA or USTA
- Desire to play in high school and beyond
- Must be able to sustain a 10 ball rally, use topspin, and consistently get serves in with continental grip
- Has a basic understanding of tactics
Performance I (12+)
- Intermediate to advanced level players from 6th-12th grade
- Match-play experience
- Desire to play in high school and beyond
- Must be able to sustain a 15 ball rally, use topspin and slice and consistently get serves in with continental grip.
HIGH PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
High Performance II (10+)
- Lower level HP at Agape
- Students on track to play high level high school tennis or college tennis
- Commitment of 2 days a week
- UTR level 2.5-5.0
* If your UTR is not a 2.5, but you have beat two players in this group in a tournament lately or beat them in a challenge match you will be accepted. - Mandatory to play at least one USTA/UTR tournament a month
- Private Lesson: Important for player to progress
- 10 & under: Ranking has to be Top 25 in the state in the 10&under division.
*Before Advancing to High Performance I
Students have to have a UTR 5.0 or higher or be able to beat two players in HP I in a tournament or challenge match.
High Performance I (12+)
- Higher level HP at Agape
- Students on track to play college tennis
- Commitment of 2 days a week
- UTR level 5.0+
* If your UTR is not a 5.0, but you have beat two players in this group in a tournament lately or beat them in a challenge match you will be accepted. - Mandatory to play at least one USTA/UTR tournament a month. Suggested to play two.
